ReplyDeleteWow well done with the fundraising Sarah. Great to hear that all is going well for you at the moment! Had not checked with your blog for a while but I'm here in Dunmanway Unit CUH this morning for my infusion so back in "patient" mode, at least it's just for a few hours every 3 weeks, in between times it's great to forget about the whole thing. Yes would agree with your priorities to share with care providers about what matters most to patients. Would totally agree with there being no problem waiting for scan results if you know you will wait, frustrating to hear you will get your results "before the end of the week", and then when this doesn't happen it is stressful. I also find it stressful when I am told your scan will be on Xth of month, and then when you phone the day before wondering what time you should be in for it turns out scan was never ordered and next available slot is almost a month away. But I also appreciate I need to work on developing patience , my husband has been giving me a hard time about my impatience since long before I ever had cancer!! ReplyDeleteI think an impatient patient is no bad thing Anne-Marie, it means we like to get on with things (which is pretty reasonable in our situation if you ask me!!)
